Backcountry skiing
Information
Equipment:
Backpack, ski clothes, headgear, gloves, sun protection, goggles, extra clothes for changing. For the snowboarders: snow shoes.
When possible:
Snowslide beeps, snowslide shovel, snowslide stings, cell phone.
Food and beverages:
A minimum of 1 liter of hot drinks in a thermos, sandwiches, muesli bars.
Alternative programme with bad wetter (2 or 4 hours):
- Exercises with snowslide beeps.
- Snowslide theory (explanation of snowprofiles).
- Probe, a very important first aid action to find people underneath the snow.
- The technique of the skins for tour skiing.
- Course outlining (curves and tacking).
- Possible exercises for the Alpine ski teckniques (deepsnow skiing).
DAY TOUR SKIING:
Price: € 250,- a tour, for 1-3 persons, for every extra person € 40,-
Meeting point:
ca. 8:30am S1 skischool centre.
Possibilities
Smuggling tour Spissermühle: From Serfaus to Samnaun (Switserland). Transport back to Serfaus by cab, appr. €70,-
Glockspitz (2846m): over the highlands of the Blankaseen to the Glockspitze.
Furgler: to our 'home mountain' on 3007m.

TRY-OUT TOUR:
Price: € 120,- a tour, for 1-3 persons, for every extra person € 20,-.
Every thursday and friday on request in the skischool office.
Meeting point: 1:00pm at Komperdell 2000m.
½ dagtour:
ca. 2-3 uur, light tour, beginners tour.
Eg. Furglersee (2458m) or Blankaseen (2622m).
